Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 May 2026.
This policy explains what personal information Stockholms Roofing collects when you contact us or visit our website, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to anyone who submits an enquiry, calls us, or browses this site.
Who we are
Stockholms Roofing is a roofing contractor operating across Liverpool, Wirral, Chester, Cheshire and North Wales. You can contact us about anything in this policy at Stockholmsroofing@outlook.com, by phone on 07407 694879, or by post to our trading address (available on request).
We are the data controller for the personal information described below. We are registered in England and Wales and act in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What personal data we collect
We collect personal information in several ways:
- Quote and contact forms. When you submit a form on this website, we collect your name, phone number, email address, property address, and the details of the roofing work you need.
- Phone calls. When you call us on 0151 268 8190 (Liverpool), 01244 879719 (Chester), or 07407 694879 (direct), we collect the information you give us during that conversation, including your name, contact details and the nature of your enquiry.
- Analytics data. If you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) collects information about how you use the site, including pages visited, time spent, device type and general location (city level). This data is pseudonymous and does not directly identify you.
- Advertising attribution. If you arrive at the site via a Google Ads link, your browser may receive a Google Click Identifier (gclid) parameter. With your consent, this is stored to help us understand which adverts led to enquiries. We do not use this data to build a personal profile about you.
We do not collect sensitive personal data (such as health information or financial account details) through this website.
Lawful basis for processing
We rely on different lawful bases depending on what we are doing with your data:
- Contract. When you instruct us to carry out roofing work, we process your contact and property details because they are necessary to perform that contract.
- Legitimate interest. When you submit an enquiry, we have a legitimate interest in responding to it and, where relevant, following up if you have not replied. We also have a legitimate interest in keeping basic records of jobs and communications for dispute resolution and complaint handling.
- Consent. We only use analytics and advertising cookies if you have actively consented via our cookie banner. You can withdraw that consent at any time by visiting our Cookies page.
How we use your information
We use the information we hold to:
- respond to quote requests and enquiries;
- arrange site visits and carry out roofing work;
- send you invoices and receive payment;
- handle complaints and warranty claims;
- understand which of our adverts are working, so we can spend marketing budgets sensibly;
- comply with legal obligations such as tax record-keeping.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or significant effects.
Who we share your data with
We share personal data only where necessary. The third parties we work with are:
- Resend (resend.com). When you submit the contact form, your enquiry details are delivered to our inbox via Resend, a transactional email service. Resend processes your data on our behalf as a data processor under a data processing agreement, and does not use your data for its own purposes.
- Microsoft / Outlook. Our business email is hosted on Microsoft's platform. Emails you send us, and our replies, are stored in accordance with Microsoft's data protection terms.
- Google. If you consent to analytics or advertising cookies, data is shared with Google via Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4. Google operates under its own privacy terms. We have configured GA4 under Consent Mode v2, which means no analytics data is sent to Google before you give consent.
We do not share your data with any other third parties unless we are required to do so by law or a court order.
How long we keep your data
Enquiry and job records (including your name, contact details and any correspondence) are kept for seven years from the date of the job or last contact. This reflects our obligations under HMRC record- keeping requirements and the six-year limitation period for contract disputes. After seven years, we delete or anonymise these records.
Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted by Google. Cookie-related retention periods are set out on our Cookies page.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies on this website. Full details of which cookies we use, what they do, and how to manage your preferences are on our Cookies page.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access. You can ask us to confirm whether we hold personal data about you and, if so, to provide you with a copy.
- Right to rectification. If any information we hold is inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to correct it.
- Right to erasure. You can ask us to delete your personal data where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it.
- Right to object. Where we are relying on legitimate interest as the lawful basis, you can object to that processing. We will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.
- Right to restrict processing. In certain circumstances, you can ask us to pause processing your data while a dispute is resolved.
- Right to data portability. Where we process your data by automated means on the basis of your consent or a contract, you can ask us to provide it in a machine-readable format.
- Right to withdraw consent. Where we rely on consent (such as for analytics cookies), you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at Stockholmsroofing@outlook.com. We will respond within one calendar month. If your request is complex, we may extend this by a further two months and will let you know within the first month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Children
This website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us at Stockholmsroofing@outlook.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page will always show when it was last revised. If we make a significant change, such as collecting a new category of personal data or sharing it with a new third party, we will make that change visible on this page for at least 30 days before it takes effect.
